Haxtun Country Christmas

Haxtun opens the Christmas season with an old-fashioned country theme. The Haxtun Volunteer Firemen escort Santa to town on their antique fire truck. The firemen host his visit at the fire hall, housed in a new building this year and help hand out treats for young and young at heart. The evening includes a soup supper and shopping with local merchants or individuals who bring there wares to town for the night. Dickens Carolers, dressed in costumes of the time, raise their voices into the crisp winter air. The event ends with a drawing for prizes donated by the Haxtun Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
